LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A group in Nebraska is asking young people to participate in a statewide photography exhibit themed around the Latino community.
The Nebraska Latino American Commission says students should submit work that shows Latinos in Nebraska participating in everyday life. Entries must be taken in the state and can include people of any ethnicity.
The independent state agency says the exhibit aims to dispel misconceptions about the Latino community. The exhibit is open to students of all ethnicities enrolled in middle school, high school or college in the state.
The deadline to submit up to three photos is Jan. 9.
