Eva Longoria will be one of many from around the world to be honored by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.

Actress Eva Longoria, and chef Jose Andres are among a list of honorees receiving the Hispanic Heritage Award.

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation is presenting the awards Thursday at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. The award show will be broadcast Sept. 15 on MundoFox.

Longoria will be honored with a community service award, while Andres is winning the program's design award.

Other honorees include: actor and director Diego Luna; musical group Los Tigres Del Norte; Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho; Voto Latino President Maria Teresa Kumar; actress and singer Lucero; and race car driver Juan Pablo Montoya. The nonprofit National Math and Science Initiative is also being honored.

President Ronald Reagan established the awards in 1987 to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month.
