Dr. Rolison is a Professor of Sociology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the California State University, San Marcos campus. Before joining the faculty at CSUSM in fall of 1996, he was on the faculties at the University of California, Santa Barbara, the University of Oklahoma, and Arizona State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Cruz. His research interests focus on the nexus of race, class, and gender. More particularly, his work focuses on issues of social control, incarceration, sexuality, poverty, and employment within the African American community. Read more...
